Are registered agents eligible for Project Zero?
No, only rights owner(s) of the trademark for the brand enrolled in Brand Registry are currently eligible to access Project Zero.
If my brand is enrolled in Project Zero in one country, am I automatically enrolled in the other countries?
Once a brand is enrolled in Project Zero in one country, it is automatically enrolled in other countries.
How does Amazon ensure that brands are making accurate decisions using the self-service counterfeit removal tool?
We are providing brands with an unprecedented level of responsibility, and we are willing to do so because we believe that the combined strengths of Amazon and brands can drive counterfeits to zero. Brands must maintain an accuracy of at least 99% in order to maintain their Project Zero privileges. We have a number of processes in place to promote accuracy, including required training as part of Project Zero enrolment and ongoing monitoring to prevent misuse of our tools.
Do brands need to serialize their products to enrol in Project Zero?
No, but the brands that serialize their products are seeing the best results. Product serialization is a powerful tool for detecting and stopping counterfeits from reaching customers. Brands also have the choice to determine which of their products to serialize.
Is joining Project Zero free?
Yes, it is free to enrol in Project Zero, get access to the automated protections, and use the self-service counterfeit removal tool. Brands that choose to use the product serialization service incur a cost per unit, based on volume.
